What is the meaning of all these abbreviations?
Writing is hard work and when you have to write a lot,
why not abbreviate some things to save some work? This is done rather
often on the Usenet and the abbreviations are borrowed from the chat-language
of the Internet. In the link section of this page, you will find a link
to an index page providing you with more abbreviations than you will ever
be able to memorize, but let me give you a very quick overview about the
essential ones (you should really know those!):

Quick tip:
Don't use too many other abbreviations, people may feel annoyed otherwise.
Keep it to the minimum, what is more or less the table content above.
